Sailing Away
Posted on April 11, 2008
Sailing used to be an exclusive pastime, but the growth of flotilla holidays in the Mediterranean has made it accessible to everyone. That, coupled with recent Olympic gold medals in sailing and the headline grabbing exploits of Ellen MacArthur, has led to charter companies reporting a twenty-five per cent rise in bookings.

Mount Wuyi, widely considered to be one of the most beautiful spots in China, stands south of Wuyishan, a city in Fujian province. The mountain’s slopes are covered by a vast subtropical forest and dotted with a number of important archaeological sites. Because of its natural beauty and its historical significance, Mount Wuyi was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999.
One of these important historical sites is the ruins of an ancient Han city built during the 1st century BC as an administrative center. The site is filled with important relics and Neo-Confucian temples. Numerous studies on the effects of Confucius’s philosophies on Chinese culture have been based on the temples on Mount Wuyi. Posted on April 10, 2008
As one of Europe’s leading cultural cities Berlin offers many museums, historic sites and other places for a memorable visit. Many landmarks remind us of the long history of Berlin, the remains of the destruction during World War II and it’s history when it was divided between east and west. Round and about these three points of interest lie the inner districts of Berlin.
